When attempting to run away from the Ravencroft reform school a teenage girl is shockingly caught and dragged away to an unknown fate by an unsee assailant.
The next day a young new teacher Janet arrives to start her new job. She has been drawn to Ravencroft by its idealistic and charismatic director Gary.
Janet soon begins having strange hallucinations of someone trapped behind a brick wall, .trying desperately to get out. She turns for help from the school psychologist, DR Schaffer. He assures her that her imagination is a little over active. Janet befriends one of the girls who tells her about the parties in the basement.
When two more girls run away Janet explores the basement and has a terrifying hallucination of an old man Jacob bursting through a brick wall to attack her. When she learns Ravencroft used to be a lunatics asylum and DR Schaffer used to be a patient there she is fearful that he's dangerous.
